Title: The Dreamers United Oath
Rating: G
Word Count: 250
Line Count: 32
Original/Fandom: Fandom: The Neverending Story by Michael Ende/Original: Personal Narrative (Plurality)
Notes: This found poem, which is heavily inspired by The Neverending Story by Michael Ende and uses a lot of language from that book, is our plurality mission statement that we made after realizing that The Two Courts/Blackbirds/Hondas's In Essence Agreement didn't quite follow our system rules and wasn't the language we would use.
Summary: A mission statement for my plural system.
The Dreamers United Oath
We are the Dreamers United.
We dream as of now, but one day, we shall wake.
We seek to build the world of our Dreaming.
To emphasize not separateness, but oneness...
To celebrate diversity rather than divergence.
We believe that we are the agents between Fantastica and the Human World.
We are Bastian. We are Atreyu. We are The Empress. We are the Lies and the Truth.
We are Fantasy and Reality.
We are nothing and everything.
For nothing is ever lost, but is transformed.
Who's to say what real is?
Perhaps alternate universes exist.
Perhaps this is a panfandom world.
Perhaps even we are not just us... but maybe there are others...
Others of Us.
Fiction builds up reality.
Reality saves fiction.
We may harm each other, but we can heal each other.
We each may have our own goals, but together, we are accountable for our own actions.
Truth is the path we should follow, though all truths are accepted.
Follow your truth. You'll find a way.
Difference is the richest gift.
Bring your differences in.
Your lives, your memories.
Your dreams, your nightmares.
Your strengths, your flaws.
your hopes, your fears.
And everything between.
You'll find reality in your dreams and power in your nightmares. And maybe just maybe...
If you try hard enough and believe in it. And keep trying to make it happen.
That art of dream will win over the horror of nightmare...
There are lifetimes ahead of us. Let's make now worth while.
