Be Drawsome 2015

So, I did the March 2015 session of Mara Belzer's Be Drawsome program which I won a place in through a social sharing contest.



The photo above links to the LJ scrapbook album of all the things I did through both the pre-session instagram challenge and the program itself.

This was one of those things that I didn't realize was something I needed in my life. I was honestly a little skeptical when I first poked at it, but it was a fun break among the neverending snow this winter.

For me, it helped me embrace some things I wasn't sure about being public about as I now work on rebranding some of my internet presence.

Notes: This found poem, which is heavily inspired by The Neverending Story by Michael Ende and uses a lot of language from that book, is our plurality mission statement that we made after realizing that The Two Courts/Blackbirds/Hondas's In Essence Agreement didn't quite follow our system rules and wasn't the language we would use.

Notes: Wrote this at Boston University Center for Psychiatric Rehabilitation's Recovery Education Program for a poetry class forking off the topic of "sanctuary" that was supposed to be describing a real-world sanctuary, but instead ended up with this description of our innerworld which is what we tend to use for meditations as well.
