Challenge 03: Kaboom! (Incomplete)
Synopsis: Beyond Tales is an educational fiction visual novel with a tv spin-off that teaches creativity and creative writing skills through a writer, Starling, and one of their characters, Fiore, using an Artist as deity mythos model. Each episode we drift between Starling's Real World (her office and local coffee shops and parks) and her innerworld (a changeable universe it begins as a desert oasis but shifts to forests, meadows, beaches, and castles depending on what she's writing). Fiore is created and lives in this world, but assists in illustrating the uses of the creative skills portrayed in each episode.
Characters/Casting:

Helen Hunt as Starling. Starling is the writer who takes on a Goddess role in the show as she teaches and guides through creating a character and world for her own story.

Adelaide Kane as Fiore. Fiore is one of Starling's characters who helps as an illustration of useful creative generation tools.
Settings:

Left side - Starling's World
Starling's world is pretty much the equivalent of ours.
A park with a fancy manmade pond, a park in autumn, a very busy coffee shop, two less busy coffee shops (black and white photos), a park built into trees, a home office desk.
Right side: Starling's Inner World
A very changeable universe, whatever Starling writes in will appear, though sometimes Fiore hints at an idea of a place to encourage that shift in later episodes.
Mostly barren Desert Oasis, an oasis among caverns, beaches, a castle, forest, and meadows.
Challenge 15: Score (Complete)

01. Anais Mitchell's "Of A Friday Night"
I'll be a good time gambler
I'll be a restless wife
I'll be a midnight writer
out in the quarter on a Friday night
call me good time gambler
call me a restless wife
call me a midnight writer
out in the quarter on a Friday night
out in the brightness of a Friday night
call me the brightness of a Friday night
02. Francesca Battistelli - "Write Your Story"
I'm an empty page
I'm an open book
Write Your story on my heart
Come on and make Your mark
Author of my hope
Maker of the stars
Let me be Your work of art
Won't You write Your story on my heart
03. Lucinda Williams - "Passionate Kisses"
Is it much to demand
I want a full house and a rock and roll band
Pens that won't run out of ink
And cool quiet and time to think
04. Anais Mitchell's "Before Storytelling Girls"
I could tell you stories like the past was dead and gone
But I know nothing changes in this world
Every day the muezzin calls
Sun comes up and Baghdad falls
Before the eyes of storytelling girls
She was just a poor man's daughter
Going down into the sultan's bed
He was desert, she was a water
And he remembered every word she said
She said and I say
Grandma, grandma
Be with me
In your tragic wedding gown
With your long hair hanging down
And the stories tumbling out
Tumbling
05. Vixy & Tony's "Rich Fantasy Lives (Tom Smith/Rob Balder Cover)"
We're piling up fears, but we're out of frontiers.
Some need to escape, but there's nowhere.
Can't go to the Moon, at least any time soon,
But an inner-space trip costs you no fare.
So don't be unkind to a wandering mind,
Just say it again if we missed it.
Some whispering poem was calling us home
To a place we know never existed.
06. Vixy & Tony's "We Can Be Anything"
Ivory, carnelian, tiger's eye, gold
Poets are creatures of habit, you know
But beauty that kindles a song or a story
Is surely old hat to you now
07. Seals & Croft - "Red Long Ago"
We are a dream, a vision, a story yet to be told.
We are a theme, love was the writer, red long ago.
You were the sea and I was the river, flowing to you.
Hoping that you might still remember, red long ago.
08. Vixy & Tony's "Strange Messenger"
To those who study history, it seems a bitter curse
The loss of language terrible, the lost potential worse
Past and future stories multiplied a thousandfold,
Vanished out of history and never to be told
Were they beautiful and gentle? Would they call us friend or foe?
What wisdom did they live by? What secrets did they know?
It's a symphony reduced to what a single bird can sing
The forest lost their language, and they lost everything
09.Vixy & Tony's "We Are Who We Are"
(We Are) We are the lovers and the dreamers
And we will stand up, win or lose
(We Are) We are the children of the future
And we will make it what we choose
(We Are) We are creators of our own worlds
Every planet, every star
(We are) we don't need anyone to tell us
Who we are (we are who we are)
